Florence might be Tuscany’s largest city by some measure, but the entire region offers some outstanding places that make for an incredible day trip. The approximately Two-Hour Pisa Walking Tour sets out to explore one of the world’s most renowned ancient cities and its fabulous collection of white marble landmarks. Departing from Florence, it’s a stress-free experience to reach our destination, as Pisa is less than an hour’s drive away.
Once we arrive, we’ll dive straight into the city centre as our tour sets off alongside a professional tour guide from Knights’ Square. Recognised as the political hotspot of Pisa, we’ll spend a few minutes wandering the bustling square, where we’ll admire the historic municipal buildings and the striking medieval tower houses. Next, we’ll walk our way to the Arno River, which flows right through the middle of Pisa. As we follow along the riverbank, it’ll eventually lead us to Garibaldi Square and its wide-open space, which is also home to a massive statue of the celebrated Italian general, Giuseppe Garibaldi.
Our next stop sees us take a stroll down Borgo Stretto, a popular shopping street that offers a range of boutiques and food stalls to pop our heads into. It also leads us directly inside Pisa’s headline attraction known as the Square of Miracles. It’s an awe-inspiring experience as you enter the enormous space with lush green lawns sprawling across the area. Dotted throughout the square are the so-called four miracles themselves – made up of the Baptistery, the Monumental Cemetery, the Cathedral and, of course, the Leaning Tower.
As we make your way around each one, your guide will be able to provide you with a range of wonderful insights into their construction, plus some of the astounding stories that have become famous throughout history. Meanwhile, this tour offers you the chance to book advance tickets so that you can climb to the very top of the Leaning Tower.
There’s a lot of history and culture to be discovered throughout Tuscany, but the city of Pisa is undoubtedly home to some of the region’s most fascinating. This 1,5 to two-hour walking tour is a convenient way to delve into one of the greatest cities Italy has to offer while also creating some memories that will last forever.

This upgrade must be booked and paid for at the time of reservation and cannot be added on the day of the tour.
Unfortunately, children under the age of 8 years are not permitted to climb the tower.
