Guided Tour of the Vatican Museum & Sistine Chapel with Skip the Line tickets
Guided tour of St Peter's Basilica & Square to admire the amazing architecture and artwork
It might be the smallest country in the world, but the Vatican certainly has a big reputation. Five million people make their way here each year to get a glimpse at the home of the Pope, not to mention the masterpieces by the likes of Raphael, Michelangelo, and Bernini.
Our Vatican & Sistine Chapel Tour will guide you through the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica – and best of all – you won’t have to wait in the queue as our Skip the Line tickets take you straight inside these unmissable wonders.
Across this incredible half-day tour, an expert art historian will guide you through dozens of famous works offering you incredible insight into why many have become recognised as today’s most notable artworks. We begin by wandering through the world-class art collection that’s been carefully curated by Vatican City’s Popes over the last 500 years. From classical sculptures to Renaissance-era masterpieces, you’re bound to know some of the remarkable works on display here. And if you have questions, your guide will be more than happy to give you all the facts and fascinating stories behind the creation of each one.
Once you’ve finished exploring the Vatican Museums, we’ll continue on to St. Peter’s Square. Explore the striking colonnade designed by Bernini and observe the wonderful surrounding architecture that a variety of Italian architectural legends contributed to over centuries. Measuring an impressive 240-metres wide, St. Peter’s Square remains one of the Catholic world’s most significant places and occasionally squeezes 300,000 pilgrims into its vast space.
Continue inside and experience all the ancient history that St. Peter’s Basilica has to offer. It’s hard to miss the giant dome that soars above your head, while masterpieces like Michelangelo’s ‘Pieta’ stands alongside many of Bernini’s and Canova’s most admired artworks.
Our Vatican and Sistine Chapel Tour is a great way to set your eyes upon many of the most important artistic creations from the last 500 years. Marvel at the art and history here and you’ll soon understand why this tiny nation remains such a renowned must-visit destination.
