Please read the following important information to avoid disappointment on the tour
The minimum age for this tour is 13 years (13 – 17 years can ride as a passenger only and cannot operate their own Vespa).
A valid driving licence is required to drive the Vespa (although you do not need a motorcycle licence)
If you are not comfortable riding on your own Vespa you can choose to travel with our expert guides or another passenger.
If after you have done a test ride we consider that for your safety it is better that you do not ride alone, you may need to ride with another participant, the guide, or continue the tour on the backup minivan. No refunds will be given in such cases. Our first priority is your safety.
Third party insurance for civil liability is included in the price of the tour. You will be given an option to subscribe to additional insurance against vehicle damages on the day of your tour.
The tour will not be cancelled due to rain. We will do our best to proceed with the tour, avoiding the rain and possibly carrying out the tour with our minivan until and if the rain stops and street conditions will guarantee a safe ride. If it does not stop raining, the entire tour will be conducted in the safety and comfort of our minivan. In this case, there will be no refunds.

Meet your guide at Piazza Mentana by 8:40am
Departing from Florence, we make our way to the rolling hills of Chianti
A safety orientation and demonstration led by a professional will get you on board your vespa vehicle
Hop on board your Vespa to ride along the charming roads of Tuscany and soak up the picturesque scenery of the lush hillside views
Visit a famous winery in the Chianti region - explore its cellars and learn about the secrets to wine production
Arrive at the second winery and be greeted with a mouthwatering Tuscan style meal paired with a local wine and locally made olive oil
You’ve probably seen the Tuscan countryside provide some stunning backdrops for a variety of Hollywood movies and charming photographs, but rest assured that the real thing is even better. Make the most of your time spent within this famous region by taking part in our Vespa tour, as we set off to explore the picturesque hillside towns and world-class wineries that bring the area to life.
We start this magical journey by first ensuring that everyone can safely ride the scooters through a quick orientation session. Before we start exploring the peaceful surrounding landscape, a professional instructor will guide you through the basic functions of the scooters, as well as have you take part in a short driving test.
Once everyone is accustomed to their Vespa, we’ll climb aboard and delve into Tuscany’s much-loved wineries, historic villages and olive groves. Riding along the charming roads, there are dozens of great vistas that would make for some stunning photographs. So, we’ll be sure to take lots of breaks so that we can capture each and every one.
Our first major stop is situated deep inside the Chianti wine region, which is celebrated for its delicious blend of red grapes that have become a hit around the world. You might be surprised to learn that this area of Tuscany was declared Italy’s first protected wine region by Cosimo III, the Grand Duke of Tuscany, more than three hundred years ago in 1716. Dotted throughout the nearby hills are dozens of high-quality wineries and cellar doors, and our first stop gives you the chance to learn all about the hidden secrets behind Chianti wine and its great flavour.
We’ll then return to our Vespa scooters and head to our second stop. This winery represents a smaller but no less incredible operation as we sit down inside for a gratifying Tuscan-style meal that comes complete with local wine and freshly made olive oil.
