Departing from the busy streets of Florence, we’ll set off on a food and culture experience that highlights the Chianti wine region’s greatest qualities. Recognised as the heart of Tuscany, this place is famous for its rolling hills, historic wine estates and rows of olive groves that make for a picturesque setting that travellers simply love.
Join us on this peaceful afternoon adventure as we load aboard a comfortable coach and hear as our professional guide describes the fascinating details of this enchanting region. We arrive at our first stop, a rustic wine estate, where you will meet the friendly owners. We’ll head inside the cellar to sample some local wine varieties and learn about the venerable winemaking processes that have continued for generations.
As the sun dips lower in the sky, we’ll head back into the wide-open countryside and make our way to a second wine tasting. Bounded by spectacular olive groves and rows of grapes that stretch into the distance, you’ll once again be able to indulge yourself with some wonderful Chianti wine. Meanwhile, there’s another selection of regional finger foods that pair perfectly with your tipple. The owners of this winery will be on-hand to teach you the basics of being a sommelier as you hear about the importance of aroma and acidity when it comes to the world’s best wine.
