Join us as we explore some of Italy’s most beautiful and stylish seaside towns along the stunning Amalfi Coast. Departing from Sorrento, we’ll travel along the picturesque coastal roads, stopping at enchanting villages along the way. With plenty of free time in Positano, Amalfi and Ravello you can discover the history and culture of these charming villages, peruse the chic boutiques or relax on the incredible beaches. Travelling with a local guide to offer insight and recommendations at each stop, this tour is the best way to get to know the Amalfi Coast like a local.
Starting in Sorrento, we’ll cross the Sorrentine Peninsula then follow the windy roads along the Amalfi Coast towards our first stop at Positano. Along the way, take in the amazing views over the Tyrrhenian Sea and the craggy Sirenusas islands just off the coast.
Once arrived in Positano, you’ll be blown away by the beauty and charm of this seaside village hewn into the coastal cliffs. With its pastel buildings, narrow cobblestone streets and picturesque beachfront, there is plenty to uncover during your free time. Wander the chic boutiques in the historical centre, visit the Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta or grab a café e cornetto in one of the alfresco cafes in the main square.
We continue our journey to Amalfi, another of Italy’s stunning UNESCO Heritage-listed villages. Lying at the foot of Monte Cerreto, Amalfi is surrounded by towering cliffs and beautiful beaches. Meander through the town’s attractive laneways and enjoy a traditional local lunch at one of the many restaurants along the beachfront or in town. Be sure to leave some time to visit the awe-inspiring Cathedral of St Andrews, a medieval Roman Catholic church with a spectacular Byzantine façade.
From Amalfi we head up the hill to Ravello, a chic village home to manicured gardens, lush villas and a beautiful main square. The town has enraptured artists, writers and musicians for years, with famous creatives such as Joan Miró and Truman Capote having found inspiration here. Visit Villa Rufolo to meander the stunning gardens and take in the incredible views over the Gulf of Salerno.
Finally, jump back on the bus and admire the views out the window on our return journey to Sorrento.
