Please note: the visit to the Blue Grotto is dependent on the weather and tidal conditions of the day. If the Blue Grotto is not available, you will enjoy a boat tour to the impressive Faraglioni rocks. If weather conditions prohibit boat tours, we will substitute the Blue Grotto with a land tour on the Island of Capri.

Reachable only by boat, Capri offers visitors a rich variety of incredible views, luxury shopping boutiques and charming hillside villages that’ll have you never wanting to leave. Over recent years, this striking island has also become known as something of a playground for the rich and famous with Capri featuring a variety of superb hotels and a marina that’s often overloaded with lavish yachts.
Joined by an expert local guide across this spectacular one-day tour, you’ll get to see all the charms Carpi has to offer as you discover its fascinating history and world-famous Blue Grotto.
We’ll set off from Rome leaving the busy city behind as we head straight for the Bay of Naples via the ‘Highway of the Sun’. Along the way, you won’t be able to take your eyes off the surrounding Italian countryside, which features a variety of historic villages and sun-drenched landscapes.
Once we navigate our way through the bustling city of Naples, we’ll board the ferry and make the short trip across the gulf to the picturesque island of Capri. Before you set off to explore the island, we’ll stop by a delightful restaurant (own cost) that features wonderful views and even better traditional Italian cuisine. Once satisfied, you’re free to spend the sunny afternoon wandering the enchanting alleyways, fashionable boutiques and variety of alfresco cafes that make Capri such a pleasant place to visit.
Once we’ve reconvened, it’s time to take a visit to the breathtaking Blue Grotto, a spectacular underground cave that lights up in a vibrant shade of turquoise as bright sunlight hits the water. You’ll have the chance to take a boat ride inside Capri’s most popular sight experiencing the unexpected beauty that fills this enormous space.
Once you’ve explored the wonders of the Blue Grotto, it’s time to bring our tour to a close. We’ll catch the ferry back across the Bay of Naples, climb aboard the bus and make tracks for the cosmopolitan metropolis of Rome.
