How to get to the Isle of Capri
There is no airport on the Isle of Capri, which means the only way to get to the island is via ferry or boat. Of course, which ferry you get depends on which port you are getting the ferry to/from.
To get to the island, you’ll have to either travel from Sorrento or Naples.
There is an airport at Naples – otherwise, both destinations can be reached by train or car.
It’s relatively easy to travel to the Isle of Capri. From the ports of Naples or Sorrento, there are several different options.
- Private transfer – Travel in luxury to the Isle of Capri and go all out
- Regular ferry (Traghetto) – A more budget-friendly option, but it’s slightly slower.
- High-speed ferry (Aliscafo) – 40-50 minutes away from Naples, and Sorrento. It’s about 20 minutes away. During peak season, there are regular departures from these ports.
