During this time, the population of Naples had grown sustainably from overseas trading, with porters, messengers, and labours all filling the streets as they raced around working. Due to this, these workers needed cheap and quick to eat meals, which lead to the street vendors to sell the very first pizza slice. The pizza soon developed further with the most famous Italian style the Napolitano, with thick tomato paste and oozing melted cheese.

Pasta is a close second in Italy’s greatest creation, being just as famous around the world as pizza! It is one of the world’s most accessible foods, with hundreds of varieties in style and flavour.
